Humanities-minded entrepreneurship
The Humanities Venture Lab is home to all humanities-minded entrepreneurs within the UvA community. The Humanities Venture Lab supports the initiation, growth and sustainability of initiatives, encouraging entrepreneurship within the humanities in the broadest sense.
Humanities and entrepreneurship: a successful synergy
Studies in the humanities are not often associated with entrepreneurship. The idea is that you are more likely to start a business if you study economics, engineering or medicine. But is that really the case?
Our activities
We offer a three-step venture development programme and host various workshops, often integrated within the educational curriculum of the faculty. We collaborate with research, education and various partners. In addition, we provide facilities such as co-working spaces, offices, workshops, event spaces and business coaching.
